BEIJING -- A collection of articles by Xi Jinping, general secretary of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Committee, on the public communication work of the Party has been published by the Central Party Literature Press.

The book, compiled by the Institute of Party History and Literature of the CPC Central Committee, is available nationwide.

The book contains 52 articles on the subject by Xi, some of which were published for the first time.

Since the 18th CPC National Congress, the CPC Central Committee with Xi Jinping at the core has prioritized public communication and adopted a set of important decisions and measures, said a statement on the book's publication.

Progress has been made in exploring new ground in expanding the Party's theoretical base, and the people have embraced both socialism with Chinese characteristics and the Chinese Dream, said the statement, adding that there is closer unity of thinking between Party members and the public.

The publication of the book is of great significance for enabling public communication work to better fulfill the mission of upholding socialism, rallying public support, fostering a new generation of people with sound values and ethics, developing Chinese culture and building a good image of China, the statement said.

It is also of importance to achieving the two centenary goals and realizing the Chinese Dream of national rejuvenation, the statement added.
