Xinjiang reports 61 asymptomatic COVID-19 cases

URUMQI -- China's Xinjiang Uygur autonomous region reported 61 new asymptomatic cases of COVID-19 between the end of Friday and 6 pm Saturday, the regional health commission said.
Among the cases, 46 were in Shufu county in south Xinjiang's Kashgar prefecture, while 15 were found in the neighboring Akto county of the Kirgiz autonomous prefecture of Kizilsu.
As of 6 pm Saturday, Xinjiang had a total of 51 confirmed cases, which were re-categorized from previously reported asymptomatic carriers, and 222 asymptomatic cases that were all in Shufu and Akto counties.
