Programs match college talent with jobs in Bay Area

A program for matching university students with internships and job offers in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, was launched in Zhuhai, Guangdong province, on Saturday and will last until the end of this year.
About 80,000 jobs are expected to be offered by 10,000 companies in the Greater Bay Area. More than 2,000 companies have already joined the effort, providing nearly 25,000 internships to students from more than 100 universities in the region.
The program was organized by the Hong Kong and Macao Affairs Office of the Guangdong provincial government, Zhuhai city and the Establishing Talents Development Committee of the Macao Special Administrative Region.
It builds on one that Macao and Zhuhai initiated in September last year. That program has included two offline hiring sessions and 61 online ones.
Another program — a nonprofit online platform called iTalenter — for connecting employers with talent in the bay area and promoting employment-related information was also unveiled on Saturday.
