Medical team heads to Lesotho and Angola






A team of medical experts organized by the National Health Commission arrived in Maseru, capital of Lesotho, in a special chartered plane on Sunday, kicking off a 10-day tour to help the African nation fight the coronavirus pandemic, a statement released by Hubei Health Commission said on Tuesday.
The 10-person medical team includes experts and medical staff from four entities — Tongji Hospital of Tongji Medical College of Huazhong University of Science and Technology, Hubei Provincial Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine, the Hubei Center for Disease Control and Prevention and the Wuhan Center for Disease Control and Prevention.
They come from departments such as surgery, respiratory diseases, critical care medicine, traditional Chinese medicine, infectious disease prevention and nursing. They have rich experience in fighting COVID-19: All had once worked in the front line to fight the pandemic in Hubei province earlier this year, the statement said.
