Should parents accompany their children to college?

The decision ought to be up to the young adults. Freshman students are old enough to decide if they want parents' involvement. If they asked, parents would be delighted to go. If they declined, parents would be delighted that their kids can handle this all on their own. It's their college experience and parents should be supportive.
