A new junior high school campus in Yuexi county, Southwest China's Sichuan province, has opened for its nearly 3,500 students. Over two-thirds of the students are from underprivileged families around the county. Now they can learn music, painting and calligraphy, as well as regular academic subjects.

They also can play basketball, soccer and run track in better conditions. In the past, the majority of students studied in rough classrooms and had access to a muddy playground.
