The Shanghai People's Procuratorate has issued 20 measures to ensure the reform of the registration-based system on the STAR market, China's own Nasdaq-style sci-tech innovation board, as part of efforts to build a sound business and legal environment.

The measures released on July 31 stressed on the significance of improving a procuratorial mechanism suitable for the registration-based system on the sci-tech innovation board, including implementing centralized jurisdiction for related cases and exploring public interest litigation.

The measures stated that the procuratorial system should protect financial and technological innovation, strengthen intellectual property protection and provide services to guarantee cross-border securities law enforcement.

The measures also mention that risk prevention mechanisms and cooperation between financial and judicial authorities should be reinforced.
