Classmates ensure that kindness prevails, and the 'relay baton' does not fall to the ground but is carried through.

For Cheng Dongdong, his classroom is always on the first floor, and his seat is always arranged in the first row. His classmates keep an eye on him and carry him to his wheelchair whenever and wherever he goes on school days. There are always warm hands behind his wheelchair. From elementary school to high school, Cheng has always been surrounded by a group of classmates guarding him, passing on the "relay baton" with love.

Cheng was born in Qiucun town, Guangde city, in East China's Anhui province in 2001. He was diagnosed with progressive muscular dystrophy in 2008, and gradually lost his ability to walk. Muscular dystrophy is a group of diseases that cause progressive weakness and loss of muscle mass. In muscular dystrophy, abnormal genes mutations interfere with the production of proteins needed to form healthy muscle.

After a year of suspension from school, Cheng's family sought medical treatment for him across the country, but Cheng's condition was still not improving. Later he insisted on returning to school and continuing his school years in a wheelchair.
