A video taken in Shexian county of East China's Anhui province shows the severity of flooding caused by torrential rainfall.
The government said on Tuesday afternoon that the rainfall that started on Monday night had caused the most severe flooding there since 1969.
The county canceled the exams in Chinese and math for the national college entrance examination, or gaokao, due to the flooding.
The exams will be rescheduled in the near future, while the date is yet to be decided, according to local education authorities.
