The Shanghai Wild Animal Park has announced that it will be extending its opening hours to 8pm from July to the end of August so that visitors can experience the facility during the night.

In addition, the drive-through section of the park which is home to nearly 1,000 animals of around 30 species will be opened to visitors after 4:30 pm for the first time. Visitors can observe animals such as oryxes, zebras and cheetahs in this section of the park.

A ferry tour will also be available for tourists, allowing them to view capybaras and swans, both of which are particularly active during dusk.

In the pedestrian zone, visitors can take a walk around the lake and listen to the birds chirping or observe monkeys and raccoons.

To ensure the health and safety of visitors, staff will disinfect facilities every day, measure tourists' temperatures and check the health QR codes of every person entering the park.
