Roderich Hess, a Swiss national who has travelled frequently to Hong Kong and the Chinese mainland for work since 1991, expressed his support for the enactment of the national security law for Hong Kong.
"When I came out of the MTR in Wan Chai, I bumped into these terrorists who took the fire hose and smashed the screens and the windows. They just destroy. There's no meaning. It's pure destruction," he said, recalling his experience during the violent protests in Hong Kong.
He said he doesn't think that the law would impact normal residents' lives. "If someone respects the law, it's just going to be totally fine. Nothing is going to change," he said.
