Subversives behind national security law hysteria, US developer says

Sergio Monteiro, an American educational software developer and writer who has lived in Hong Kong for 28 years, said the hysteria surrounding the national security law in Hong Kong was being fanned by subversive elements to promote their own agenda.
Monteiro said any action China takes is portrayed as overreach, despite China's complete restraint during the yearlong often violent protests, and the fact that China is exercising its sovereign rights by enacting this legislation.
