Forty-six percent of Americans disapprove of the United States permanently withdrawing from the World Health Organization and 43 percent hold a positive view of the WHO, according to a poll of 1,500 Americans.
The poll was conducted by YouGov and The Economist from May 31 to June 2 after US President Donald Trump in May said the US is "terminating" its relationship with the WHO because the organization refused to conduct a reform as the US required.
At the same time, 33 percent of respondents support Trump's decision and 35 percent hold an unfavorable opinion of the organization.
