Nasdaq Composite breaks above 10,000 for first time

NEW YORK - The Nasdaq Composite rallied to a record high in intraday trading on Tuesday, breaking above the 10,000 mark for the first time, boosted by solid gains in Apple and Amazon shares.

The Dow Jones Industrial Average and the S&P 500, however, went down.
