China sent COVID-19 aid to 150 countries, four global bodies

As of May 31, China had provided material assistance to more than 150 countries and four international organizations to help combat the COVID-19, and had sent medical experts to 27 countries, Vice-Foreign Minister Ma Zhaoxu said on Sunday.
Ma told a news conference in Beijing that China has held over 180 videoconferences with experts from over 170 countries and international organizations.
According to Ma, local governments, enterprises, civil organizations and individuals from China have donated medical supplies to more than 150 countries and regions as well as international organizations.
China also exported anti-epidemic materials to over 200 countries and regions, Ma said, adding that the country exported 70.6 billion face masks and 340 million pieces of protective clothing from March 1 to May 31.
