BEIJING - China's top legislature will focus its oversight work this year on winning the fight against poverty and building a moderately prosperous society in all respects, a report said.

The work report of the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress (NPC) was submitted on Monday to the third session of the 13th NPC for deliberation. Li Zhanshu, chairman of the NPC Standing Committee, delivered the report.

The report said the top legislature will make its due contribution to completing the country's first centenary goal on schedule.
