The former police commissioner, Tang King-shing, said it is a challenge to recruit 2,500 police officers for the Hong Kong Police Force in this financial year (2020-21), as the police have been unfairly treated during the months-long social unrest. In the second installment of Tang's interview with China Daily, the former commissioner is also saddened and worried that the District Councils are being politicalized by the opposition camp as a way to attack the police.
