TEHRAN - Nineteen Iranian navy servicemen were killed after an incident happened to the Iranian Army's Konarak logistic vessel in the country's waters near the port of Jask in the Sea of Oman, official IRNA agency reported on Monday.

The incident happened during a naval exercise on Sunday evening. Fifteen others were injured.

Konarak has been towed to the port for further technical investigations, according to the report.
