Stylish bookstore opens in Yunnan

After three years of planning and construction, the first Librairie Avant-Garde in Yunnan announced its soft opening a week ago in Beilong village, Shaxi town, Jianchuan county in Yunnan's Dali prefecture.

Manager Liu Yating said the store has been localized.

"We have a full range of books about Yunnan, including books written by authors from Yunnan," she said. "The bookstore aims at promoting the local culture and building itself as a cultural landmark."
