Gunshots from DPRK hit ROK guard post
Multiple gunshots fired from the Democratic People's Republic of Korea hit a guard post in the Republic of Korea near the inter-Korean border, the ROK's Joint Chiefs of Staff said on Sunday. The bullets hit the guard post in the central front portion of the Demilitarized Zone at 7:41 am local time and caused no casualties or damage, the JCS said in a statement. Following the gunshots, the ROK military broadcast warnings and fired back twice. The JCS said the ROK military was taking actions through the military communication lines with the DPRK to grasp the situation and prevent any further incidents.

Diplomats' expulsion suspended by top court
Supreme Court Judge Luis Roberto Barroso issued an injunction on Saturday suspending the Foreign Ministry's move to expel 34 Venezuelan diplomats. According to the injunction, Barroso gave the government 10 days to explain why it set Saturday as the deadline for the diplomats' departure. Brazil withdrew its diplomats from Venezuela's capital Caracas on April 17, Reuters reported on Saturday. The Brazilian Foreign Ministry notified the Venezuelan embassy last week that if its diplomats remained in Brazil until Saturday, they would be declared "personae non gratae".
