China helps out in Burkina Faso

Twelve Chinese medical experts arrived in Burkina Faso's capital Ouagadougou on Thursday to help the West African country curb the spread of the coronavirus.
According to the local Chinese embassy, they will be working in line with a commitment by the Chinese government to send medical teams to help Burkina Faso and Ethiopia reinforce their fight against COVID-19.
Their mission is to share their expertise and to provide technical and practical advice so as to improve the capacities of the two countries.
Liu Jun, the head of the medical team, said: "China has a track record in the fight against the coronavirus disease. We will share that experience with our friends in Burkina Faso."
As of Thursday, the country had reported 542 confirmed cases of COVID-19. Of these, 226 people had recovered and 32 died.
