GUIYANG -- Southwest China's Guizhou province has developed online platforms to support the resumption of the tourist sector while ensuring the safety of visitors, according to the China Travelers' Forum held Wednesday in the provincial capital city of Guiyang.

An online reservation platform was launched on the same day for 29 scenic areas and tourist attractions in Guiyang, with all visitors required to book in advance on the platform, which is available on the official website, WeChat and Sina Weibo account of the municipal bureau of culture and tourism.

Guizhou will also roll out an integrated platform on May 19, which enables tourists to get catering, accommodation and travel services using one single QR code.

More than 90 percent of A-level tourist attractions across the province have reopened since Feb 21, including all top-rated ones.

Guizhou boasts rich tourist resources such as China's largest waterfall Huangguoshu, UNESCO world heritage site Mount Fanjingshan and a karst forest in Maolan.
