On March 26, Noah, The Daily Show host, said on the program that the news from Wuhan was cause for hope, even as the pandemic worsened, particularly in Europe and the US.

"This shows that novel coronavirus can be beaten. All you need to do is wash your hands, keep social distancing and have a powerful government," he said.
