ublicly listed manufacturer PT Industri Jamu Dan Farmasi Sido Muncul is set to donate Rp 15 billion (US$906,645) in aid to help Indonesia tackle the coronavirus pandemic.

The company said in a statement on Saturday that the funds would be used to distribute medical equipment, food and Sido Muncul products to drivers, senior citizens, houses of worship and hospitals around the country.

Sido Muncul director Irwan Hidayat said the initiative was a response to several parties that had asked the 80-year-old company for aid.

“Under such conditions, the greatest challenge is distributing aid. Certain parties might be left unattended. Those parties are the ones we help,” he said as reported by tempo.co.
