Recently a truck laden with more than 300 kinds of Traditional Chinese Medicine began to provide service for COVID-19 patients at Leishenshan Hospital, a makeshift hospital in Wuhan in Central China's Hubei province.

The mobile intelligent emergency TCM pharmacy truck was sent by the Hospital Affiliated with Changchun University of Chinese Medicine in Northeast China's Jilin province to help control the novel coronavirus.

"Pharmacy is transformed into a special vehicle under strict medical standards, which can bring great convenience during work," said Leng Xiangyang, vice-president of Changchun University of Chinese Medicine and head of the province's TCM medical team to Wuhan.

"When doctors prescribe in the isolation area of the hospital, prescriptions can be sent to the pharmacist via the internet. The pharmacist can quickly find the medicine and complete dispensing immediately on the operating table. It only takes three minutes in total," he said.

"Then the staff worker can send the medicine to the isolation area. It is very safe and convenient."
