Wuhan, the epicenter of the novel coronavirus outbreak, is receiving help from across the country. To make sure scarce supplies are delivered as soon as possible, volunteers from the Blue Sky Rescue are playing an indispensable role in the battle.

The Blue Sky Rescue is responsible for the specific operation and maintenance of a warehouse, as well as the distribution of rescue materials. The warehouse in Wuhan was newly opened by the China Charity Federation and Hubei Charity Federation and used for temporary transfer of materials from across the country and abroad.

In addition to warehousing and transfer of materials, the rescue team has also established a complete disinfection working process. When there is a need, they will enter into severely infected communities in Wuhan for disinfection.

Zhang Yong, commander of the Blue Sky Rescue, said after each batch of supplies that arrives in Wuhan, a lot of complicated work has to be done, such as customs clearance, receiving, and picking up. It was time-consuming for the frontline medical staff members to do such work. The Blue Sky Rescue became a bridge between donors and hospitals, making every effort to unclog the "last mile" in rescue.
