NHC Update: 15,152 Confirmed Cases and 254 Fatal Cases Nationwide on 12 February

1. NHC spokesperson Mi Feng released on the afternoon of 13 February that between 00:00 and 24:00, 12 February, the following were newly reported by the 31 provinces, autonomous regions and municipalities and the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps:

a) 15,152 confirmed cases(including 13,332 confirmed by clinical diagnosis in Hubei Province)

b) 174 fewer severe cases;

c) 254 fatal cases (including 242 in Hubei);

d) 2,807 suspected cases;

e) 1,171 cured cases; and

f) 29,429 close contacts released from medical observation.

2. As of 24:00, 12 February, the following were reported by the 31 provinces, autonomous regions and municipalities and the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps:

a) 52,526 confirmed cases still under treatment;

b) 8,030 severe cases;

c) 5,911 cured and discharged cases;

d) 1,367 fatal cases;

e) 59,804 confirmed cases;

f) 13,485 suspected cases pending test results; and

g) 471,531 close contacts traced (including 181,386 still under medical observation).
