NHC: New Confirmed Cases Outside Hubei Decline for Fifth Consecutive Day

According to statistics released by the National Health Commission (NHC) on its website on Sunday morning, between 00:00 and 24:00, 8 February, 2,656 confirmed cases (including 2,147 in Hubei Province) were newly reported by the 31 provinces, autonomous regions and municipalities and the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps. This means that 509 confirmed cases were newly reported outside Hubei on 8 February.The numbers of new confirmed cases outside Hubei between 3 and 8 February were 890, 731, 707, 696, 558 and 509 respectively, representing a continuous decline following a rise from 726 on 2 February to 890 on 3 February.
