The National Health Commission issued a notice on Tuesday that nurseries and early childhood education institutions should suspend their operations to keep children under 3 away from novel coronavirus infections.
The commission said that childhood education institutions and other services related to children can replace their offline operations with online courses or services.
Nurseries should suspend their service under the supervision of education departments and when they reopen depends on the prevalence situation of the outbreak, the notice said.
All this work will be carried out by local health departments across the country.
