US officials confirmed Monday that a manned, American surveillance aircraft crashed in Afghanistan's Ghazni province.
The US officials identified the military plane as a Bombardier E-11A, often used for surveillance. The officials said the cause of the crash is still under investigation, and "there are no indications the crash was caused by enemy fire". Earlier, Taliban then claimed responsibility that they shot down the plane with CIA officials on board.
