Jouni Peltoniemi won an unexpected prize with his wife and 21-year-old son after they placed third. It won them a free trip to China to compete in the series final, which will take place at the Wanlong Ski Resort in Hebei province, in March.
He said: "We saw the poster this morning and just want to have a try. But unexpectedly, it is quite interesting."
The competition coincided with the celebrations for the Chinese Lunar New Year, and Chinese and Finnish winter sports enthusiasts enjoyed dumplings as part of the festivities.
