Premier Li to host China-Japan-ROK leaders' meeting

Premier Li Keqiang will host the eighth China-Japan-Republic of Korea leaders' meeting in Chengdu, capital of Sichuan province, on Dec 24, Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Hua Chunying said on Tuesday.

Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe and ROK President Moon Jae-in will attend the meeting. Hua told the daily press briefing that China is maintaining close coordination with the other two nations to come up with appropriate arrangements for bilateral meetings.

This year marks the 20th anniversary for the trilateral cooperation mechanism, and the meeting will focus on improving the level of cooperation between the three sides for the next 10 years and bolstering regional and international peace, stability, growth and prosperity, she added.
