URUMQI -- The Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Regional Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference strongly condemned and resolutely opposed a Xinjiang-related bill approved by the US House of Representatives.
By totally disregarding the facts, the "Uyghur Human Rights Policy Act of 2019" smeared and unreasonably criticized the human rights situation, counter-terrorism and de-radicalization measures in Xinjiang, as well as China's policies concerning ethnic groups and religious affairs, the regional advisory body said in a statement issued on Wednesday.
