With the arrival of winter, numerous migratory birds have found their suitable places for wintering across China.

In North China's Hebei province, thousands of wild geese come to Yiquanhu Lake in Cixian county, Handan, which has clear water and rich water plants.

To ensure the lake remains a comfortable habitat for the wild geese, local government has enhanced the supervision on the protection of the lake and the birds.

In neighboring Shanxi province, eight wild flamingoes arrived at Yanhu Lake in Yuncheng city in recent days. They love staying there because the lake has abundant shrimps, clams, insects and alga, which are the best choices as flamingoes' food.

Since 2014, when two flamingoes came to Yanhu Lake for wintering, the number has been increasing gradually in recent years.

In Southwest China's Guizhou province, over 40,000 migratory birds have come to Caohai, a natural plateau freshwater lake in Weining, since this winter started earlier this month.

From November to April each year, the birds, including black-necked cranes, grey cranes and bar-headed geese, come to Caohai National Nature Reserve for wintering.
