China solicits designs for environmental protection mascot
BEIJING -- The Ministry of Ecology and Environment said Monday it has started seeking mascot designs from all over the world to promote the country's environmental protection.
Submissions will end on March 31, 2020, and all interested individuals and organizations from both home and abroad are welcome to participate individually or jointly, said the ministry.
Participants can send their designs and descriptions to the email zhengji@mee.gov.cn, with the name, profession and contact information of the author attached.
The result will be unveiled on June 5, 2020, World Environment Day and displayed at related celebratory events.
Through this process, China aims to promote the publicity and popularization of the country's ecological civilization, said an official with the ministry.
