It was a chaotic yet horrifying Monday in Hong Kong as black-clad rioters went on a spree of violence across the city. They built barricades to disrupt traffic, hurled petrol bombs in various locations including inside a metro compartment, and even set an innocent man on fire.
The city's Chief Executive Carrie Lam Cheng Yuet-ngor stressed that violence is no solution to any problem and must not be allowed to prevail.
