Customs, police bust major oil smuggling ring in Guangdong

Customs officers from Guangzhou city in South China's Guangdong province, and police have seized a total of 808.5 metric tons of smuggled refined oil products after busting a major cross-border smuggling gang in a recent special joint operation in Guangdong waters.

A total of 38 suspects were detained and 11 vessels used for smuggling refined oil products were seized, according to a statement released by Guangzhou customs on Monday.
