Selection process seeks out model creatives for new era

A selection process aimed at choosing art works, broadcasting platforms and artistic workers representative of the country's new era began on Oct 23 in Beijing.

An expert committee was established for the activity, including Cui Baoguo, a professor of the School of Journalism and Communication at Tsinghua University, Huang Shengmin, a professor specializing in advertising at Communication University of China, Wang Xubo, deputy director of the editor's office at Hunan TV.

Organized by Global Survey, a public opinion research center under Global Times and data company Gozen Data, the selection will be made using big data analysis, target audience research and the experts' ideas. Documentaries, TV series', variety shows, actors and TV hosts are among some of the deciding lists.

During the opening ceremony, experts also discussed topics such as media development and how to evaluate an artistic work.
