'Japan Day' observed at Beijing horticultural expo

BEIJING -- "Japan Day," showcasing the special charm of Japanese gardening culture and lifestyle, was observed at the ongoing International Horticultural Exhibition in Beijing.
The event, with promotions of the World Expo 2025 in Osaka, ikebana performances and ikebana competitions, kicked off on Thursday and will last for three days.
The Exhibition Garden of Japan, which consists of a courtyard and an exhibition hall, displays the country's colorful and profound horticultural culture and modern lifestyle, with rocks, plants, springs and waterfalls in the garden.
