China and Russia oppose any external interference in domestic affairs

China and Russia share common stance in opposing any external interference in the two countries' domestic affairs, and will work with the international community to fight against unilateralism, a senior Chinese official said.

Noting that certain external forces have been interfering with domestic affairs of China and Russia recently, particularly in China's Hong Kong Special Administrative Region and in Moscow, Russian's capital, Le Yucheng, China's vice foreign minister, said at a news briefing on Monday that these forces have mainly resorted to violence to undermine the stability and interfered with domestic affairs of other countries.

Both China and Russia strongly oppose such acts, Le said, adding that this common position is part and parcel and the centerpiece of China-Russia ties.

China and Russia firmly support one another on core issues concerning each others' interests including sovereignty, security and development, Le said. He said that the two countries are willing to keep close communication and coordination, and are resolved to implement the consensus reached by two heads of states, consolidating the "back-to-back" strategic relations of cooperation and protecting common interests of both sides.

Both China and Russia are ready to work with the rest of the international community in promoting a new type of international relations and a community with shared future for humankind, so that righteous principles of mutual respect and win-win cooperation will prevail over the erroneous approaches of unilateralism, Le said.

"Together,we will foster a sound and just international environment," he said.
