Ministries make progress in Party's education campaign

BEIJING -- The ministries of education and culture and tourism have made solid progress and achieved real results in the Party's education campaign themed "staying true to our founding mission," focusing on spotting and rectifying problems with their work.

Between mid-June and the end of July, the Ministry of Education carried out investigations and research in 17 provincial regions and solicited 156 suggestions from all corners of society to deal with issues of public concern in the education sector.

The Ministry of Culture and Tourism made a list of 27 major problems concerning the culture and tourism industry and devised 23 rectification plans, with a focus on improving the quality of artistic works and promoting high-quality development of the culture and tourism industry.

The education campaign, to be carried out nationwide among all members of the Communist Party of China, was launched on May 31. The CPC's original aspiration and mission is to seek happiness for the Chinese people and rejuvenation for the Chinese nation.
