Panda celebrates 3rd birthday

"Updating the toys is a way to encourage the pandas to express more natural behaviors. There will be other toys in the future. We are glad to take suggestions from the citizens," said panda keeper Cao Jun.

"The idea of the bamboo beds was suggested by a Wuhan citizen. Bamboo beds are an old tradition of people in Wuhan. The whole bed is made of bamboo without any metal materials. We hope that the panda sisters like this gift," Cao added.

Volunteer Zhang is an animal enthusiast since last year's little interpreter competition organized by the Wuhan Zoo. She now comes to the zoo at least twice a month.
