Leung Chun-ying, vice-chairman of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference, said on Wednesday that radical protesters' violence against tourist and journalist in the airport was "extremely serious", and hoped those responsible could be brought to justice soon.
In a group interview, Leung said he believed most people in Hong Kong are against such illegal acts, and called on the "silent majority" to step up and assist the police in identifying offenders.
