A fine selection of Su embroidery works are on display at the China Cultural Center in Berlin through Aug 21, showcasing the ancient traditional Chinese craftsmanship from East China's Jiangsu province.

Su embroidery is one of the four major embroidery styles in China, with a history of more than 2,500 years. In 2006, the time-honored craftsmanship was listed as a state-level intangible cultural heritage in China.

Requiring consummate craftsmanship, Su embroidery is famous for its beautiful patterns, elegant colors, and variety of stitches. It usually depicts nature and the elegant landscapes, such as flowers, birds, animals and carefully sculpted gardens.
