The 10th China Acrobatic Exhibition, formerly known as the National Acrobatics Competition, commenced Wednesday in Nanning, South China's Guangxi Zhuang autonomous region.
The event has featured acrobatic dramas for the first time.
The acrobatic drama Bainiaoyi (a dress made of feather from 100 birds), adapted from a Zhuang ethnic people legend, was critically acclaimed on Wednesday night for its engaging story and stunning performance.
The event is co-sponsored by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism and the Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Regional People's Government to celebrate the 70th anniversary of the founding of the People's Republic of China.
