Repair shop owner still walks in shoes of 'Lei Feng'

Meng works very conscientiously in his shop and also attracts lots of customers for the low prices he charges.

He provides completely free services to the disabled as well as poverty-stricken college students and residents.

Every weekend and holiday, he rides his bike to visit the troops, welfare homes and communities where he helps soldiers, the disabled and the poor.

In addition, he taught soldiers how to mend shoes and donated to them several shoe-repair machines as well as some repairing materials, which they greatly appreciated.

In 1998, he became the first rural migrant worker to become a Party member in the province.
