Paintings created by Microsoft's artificial intelligence robot, Xiao Bing, were displayed on Sunday at the arts museum of China's Central Academy of Fine Arts in Beijing.

The exhibition, Alternative Worlds, is the first art show in China to exhibit paintings created solely by an AI painter.

Xiao Bing, which made the paintings, emulated the artistic styles of six female artists from separate generations and backgrounds, and came up with hundreds of paintings in different styles to present in the exhibition.
