Activities enriching nightlife
Cultural entertainment activities are a crucial part to enrich nightlife in Beijing. Beijing will continue to support 24-hour physical bookstores, and will encourage museums and galleries to extend their opening times. Evening shows are also encouraged to be prepared at special occasions or traditional festivals.
Commercial performances will be subsided for low-price tickets.
Scenic spots above 4A level in the central area of Beijing are encouraged to lengthen one to two hours of their night opening times. Nighttime sightseeing will be organized in the Summer Palace, the Temple of Heaven, Olympic Forest Park and Chaoyang Park.
Nighttime sports will also be encouraged. Beijing will continue to support sports organizations or institutions that stay open until 22:00. More exercise facilities and sports fields will be established in city parks to satisfy young people's demands.
Public services enhanced
Currently, residents complain about the difficulty to find parking spots at night. The Beijing government said more time-limited road parking spaces will be provided to relieve the pressure.
Railway and bus services should play an important role to guarantee citizens' transportation demands. Taxis and online car-hailing are encouraged to strengthen car deployment during nighttime.
The government also advocates 24-hour convenience stores and other commercial spaces to lengthen their opening hours and launch sales promotions at night.
