PARIS - Two worshippers were injured on Thursday afternoon after an armed man shot them in western city of Brest before committing suicide, while the incident's motive is still unknown, state-run France info radio reported.
A gunman, on board of his vehicle, opened fire against a group of people in front of mosque earlier in the day before running away.
He seriously injured two individuals, including the mosque's imam for a motive not identified yet, according to the report.
Citing a police source, it added the shooter's body was found lifeless near his car after he killed himself with the gun he used in the attack.
In a Twitter message, Interior Minister Christophe Castaner said he ordered to reinforce security in religious sites across the country following the incident.
