GUANGZHOU - Police in the city of Zhaoqing, South China's Guangdong province, have busted a drug trafficking case with over 30 drug dealers and drug addicts arrested and 5.12 kg of drugs seized, the city's public security bureau said Friday.

The police got some clues of the case in 2017. In January 2019, police found a man surnamed Liang was the head of a drug gang which was active in the cities of Zhaoqing and Jieyang.

In February, the police caught more than 20 drug users.

The two cities' public security bureau dispatched more than 90 policemen to arrest Liang near an expressway toll station before catching his accomplices on May 13.

Further investigation is still under way.
